I’m a senior in high school from New Jersey, I just submitted my application to East Carolina University today.
My GPA is a 3.0 and i’m in all honors courses. My SAT is about 1650 composite, possibly going up. My high school is ranked #74 in the nation. I play competitve soccer year round, 20 hours a week. I have volunteer hours, ive done an 8 week mentorship at the hospital, and I’m in some clubs in school such as SADD and 4-H.

Any opinions on my chances of acceptance?

And the “printed signature agreement” thing at the end of the online application, does that really need to be signed, printed, and mailed in?

I have a weighted GPA of 3.46 (I know they do not take this into consideration), an unweighted GPA of 2.83. SAT SCORES: Reading 500, Math 400, Writing 420. I am graduating from an early college in December (next month) with an AA degree along with my high school diploma. I applied for the Spring semester but was rejected (maybe they accept more transfer students than freshmen in the Spring?). I was very upset (and still am) because ECU is my top school. I am now applying for the Fall hoping to get accepted. I thought graduating from an early college would give me an advantage. Do I have any chance at all of getting accepted for the Fall 2012? I live in NC.

My daughter was accepted this week. We are out of state. She has a 3.6 gpa and a 1200/1840 SAT. We have not actually ever visited campus, but plan to do so in the future. Any information on ECU for a Northerner would be appreciated.

prdparent…definitely have your daughter apply for the Honors College, EC Scholars, and Early Assurance. I am an EC Scholar and I had similar stats to that. I also applied to ECU as my safety school, but once I received the EC Scholars Award (which is basically a full ride) and visited, I decided to attend ECU and I am so glad I did. I am 100% sure that I am going to have outstanding educational experiences and research opportunities that I would not have if I had attended somewhere else as just a “regular” student. Plus if she can get Early Assurance, that is a very big plus and would relieve a lot of stress later on. Take it from a current student, ECU takes very good care of its Honors students!

SAT math- 560
SAT verbal- 530
SAT writing- 580

GPA 3.0 (85.5/100)
From NJ
All Honors Classes, no APs at school because it’s an academy. #74 best high school in the Nation. Devoted soccer player (20 hours a week), volunteer work, hospital mentorship. I have 3 recommendations. A good resume.
I recently got accepted to UNCG, what are my chances for ECU? they just recieved all my materials this past monday. so now im waiting, and im wondering what my chances are? any info would help thanks!

So i applied to ecu and the pirate port application status says : decision made. And then that they are going to mail my decision to my house via usps. I was wondering when they Make a decision on the pirate port website do you know if it has to say “transcript due upon graduation” in order to know if you got accepted? If it doesn’t say that in the message on your application status did you get rejected? Because I saw some kid say his said that And he got accepted so i was just wondering if all people accepted have that on their decision made message. Thanks!

So…did you figure out whether or not it has to say “Transcript due upon graduation”? Is that an indicator on the pirateportal as to whether or not you were accepted?

Hey guys. I just got my acceptance letter to ECU yesterday. It’s my second choice behind James Madison. I applied in December since I am out of state and they only accept 18% out of state from what I remember from the fall open house.

I had a 3.5 uw/3.8 weighted GPA.
610 math, 510 cr SAT
24 ACT

Good luck to everyone applying. I might be seeing some of yall in the fall.

.Does anyone know if ECU is a good school for clinical psychology ? i know that have that program but i’m just wondering if their program is good.

Hi, I’m a junior in highschool, and unfortunately I kind of screwed up my first two and a half years of highschool. I really want to go to ECU, unfortunately after this semester I think my gpa will only be about a 2.4/2.5 unweighted. I heard that ECU doesn’t consider weighted GPA at all? I haven’t taken my SAT or ACT yet, and I know I could do awesome on them. I know I have until March of next year to apply, but I’m on a block schedule, and I’ll only have four classes to get it up, so it still probably won’t end that high, is there anything I can do? Or any chance I could get in?

ECU’s acceptance rate is very high. They accept about 70 % of their applicants but if you want to better your chance, try to score high on the SAT/ACT and if you havent taken neither this year, I suggest you do so or you’re going to be stuck your senior year. You could also try to make straight A’s or get involved in school activities.

Hey Im kind of like Kayla and messed up pretty bad freshman year and a kind of this year (2 c’s in AP classes)
I have taken 10+ AP Classes
UW GPA is going to only end up around 2.8
Respectable SAT scores
(760 Math, 720 Reading - Taken it once) + 630 writing for a 2110.
What are my chances?
Also I’m an In State student.

I have an odd question: they want me to send proof of degree, but what are they looking for? I have emailed twice but not gotten a response. I have already sent in my transcripts from community college, but should I send them again now that the semester is over?
