ECU is not for me

Let me start off by saying that I am really desperate right now for some guidance regarding if transferring is worth it or not. I’m currently a sophomore at ECU and recently applied and was accepted to UNC Charlotte. I’m a psych major and plan on going into corporate psychology for graduate school. I’m on the Deans list and maintain a 3.4 GPA. I’m also a volunteer tutor. I plan on leaving ECU because I feel that there aren’t many opportunities here for me. The school is great, but the town is small and I struggle with even finding a job to pay rent. There aren’t many internships, nor are there research opportunities, which I figure I’ll need in order to get into grad school. I’m also worried about the reputation which surrounds ECU and how future employers would view that. I really feel that UNCC is a great school that’s for academically driven students who excell in their future endeavors. Any information about UNCC and the surroundings reputation, academics, opportunities would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance!

These are very similar schools with similar reputations. But if you prefer Charlotte and transferring won’t delay graduation or cause you to incur additional debt, go for it.
