Will I get into East Carolina University? I have a 2.27 gpa and made a 20 on act. I live out of state.

How long does it take for them to let you know if you're accepted or not?

EH…you need to bring ur grades up. Hopefull uve done some volunteering or are good at sports or amazing SAT. My sister got into ECU and she had a 3.8 Weighted gpa and tons of voulunteering and a SAT score of 1680. ECUs acceptance rate is 70% but your out of state so idk

They require a minimum 20 on act.

Yeah but thats a minimum, many will have more then that

Blegh. You currently fall into the bottom left square, with almost no acceptances. Try to bring your grades up fast, or hope you have a great amount of EC’s. You don’t look good for OOS.

It may be possible

your gpa is very low and so is your act. ecu can only accept 18% out of state applicants so you will have to bring your gpa up to at least a 3.2 unweighted to be competitive. it also wouldn’t hurt to take the sat to see if you do any better. most colleges in north carolina prefer sat scores but will take act.

just an opinion from someone who has already been accepted for next year. good luck.

My daughter was accepted to ECU with a 4.2 weighted gpa, 3.6 unweighted,
24 on ACT as a junior. She has improved her ACT scores but they didn’t use her new scores. Not a lot of ECs but she has been an apprentice/intern at a local STEM program for the past few years. She was accepted soon after she applied.
