<p>A year ago my whole family was twisting in the wind waiting for the ED notification, so looking at this thread brings back some not very pleasant memories. (By the way, S got the same email notification and had the same reaction – almost had a heart attack until he read and discovered it was only telling him when and where to check). It ended up working out for S, but he had MANY friends (indeed, his three best friends) who were rejected or deferred at their first choice schools. Without exception, each one of those friends has landed well, and today are very happy where they are. So while I wish you all the best of luck, I also want to emphasize that the admissions process is not a referendum on your value as a student, or a person, and there is not just one perfect school for anyone. Try your very best to take it all in stride and know that you are all exceptional people and one day in the not so distant future, this horrible week will be remembered only as a little blip. <p>Yeah it was very much a congratulations/touch base email. They accepted around 260 EDI plus the 13 of us from Questbridge.</p>
<p>373 were admitted out of 842 applications last year in ED. Assuming the numbers this year are relatively similar to last year’s, is it normal that ED1 made up 72% of all of the ED admits?</p>

<p>Wait i am so confused by these numbers. If they accepted 13 from quest bridge, does that mean they are only admitting 283 early early decision? ALSO DOES THIS MEAN THEY ALREADY KNOW AND ARE JUST TORTURING US??!?!?!?!?</p>
