If your applying ED..is it possible the school ur applying to will want to see your first quarter grades? or just ur mid-year report if defered

Chances are, the college is concentrating on your freshman, sophomore and junior year grades, not senior year grades. They almost never even see 1st quarter grades, though your hs transcript may list what classes you are taking during your senior year.

My son's school college counselors advised him last year that about half of the colleges call the school to ask for 1st quarter grades for ED applicants. While my son's school usually only releases year end grades (and first semester grades for seniors), they will provide 1st quarter grades if colleges ask.

This was a cause for some concern for us last fall, based on my son's first quarter grade in AP calc. His ED college did not call for the quarter grades. The school counselor said some colleges always call for the 1Q grades, others call for the grades probably only for kids on the edge.

(If you do a search on the old CC, you'll see some discussion of this last year in reaction to a question I posted about this topic last November).
