<p>Anyone else out there apply ED2? Apparently the letters are going out today- how long do you think they'll take to arrive? </p>
<p>I applied early decision 2 as well, and apparentlyyyy they mailed them out Friday. I looked online and if they mailed them first class then it should take anywhere from 2 to 5 days, depending on if you’re close to Ohio or not. Good luck! :)</p>

<p>DEFERRAL IS A GOOD THING. You might have dodged a trap.</p>
<p>I love Kenyon (my dad went there), but it needs to follow Princeton, for example, and drop ED. Early Action is a nice thing, but ED gives almost no benefit to the student. The purpose of ED is to help the college spread its admissions load over more months. It was not designed to benefit students.</p>
<p>ED is only for people who know for a fact that they can pay for the school, and also know for a fact that the school is perfect for them – perfect! Otherwise it can cause many nightmares.</p>
<p>You still might get into Kenyon, and I hope you do. But now you have more time to continue to explore other colleges which could be just as rewarding. Again, I love Kenyon but it is not the only good college out there.</p>
<p>For those who hope to get admission to Kenyon, it had a record number of applications this year. More than 60% higher than last year.</p>
<p>I wish everybody who wants to attend Kenyon could go, but obviously it is harder than ever to get in. Its excellence is no longer a secret.</p>
