ED 2 Chances for Tulane or William & Mary

I applied EA to Tulane and was deferred earlier this year, and now I need to decide where to do ED II. Tulane is my top choice and I’ve visited twice, wrote a good essay, and my counselor wrote a letter about my interest in Tulane. However, WM is a close second, and I think I have a better chance of getting into WM ED 2 than Tulane, plus I’ve visited WM too. I’m for sure going to apply ED 2 to one of them, but I’d rather do it to the one that I have the best chance of getting into. I know both schools are stretches, so please be honest. Thanks

Purely based off of statistics, I would guess that if you go ED at William and Mary, you have a good chance at getting in, BUT if you go RD, it would remain a low reach for you. As for Tulane, it’d give you a better chance, but lower than your chance going ED at W&M.
Regardless, it genuinely is your choice. As long as you have some safeties and good matches up your sleeve, I see no harm in shooting for the moon if Tulane really is your first choice. But, make sure you talk finances through with your parents first before going ED at either school. Your income bracket can go either way in Financial Aid, and ED can put you in a bit of a bind if it’s not what you’re hoping for.
Good luck!

Thank you!
