ED 2 class of 2015 applicants

Deferred. So basically I have to wait for everything in the next rd round. So down. Just tired. I’m going to have some sleep. Been over confident about my chance in Middlebury.

ACCEPTED!!! I am the happiest person on the earth!!!
See my stats at the first page!!!
OMG!!!

Goldnano: do not give up. I’ll definitely see you at Vermont!!!

Still see nothing in my mailbox =[
How long do I have to wait…
It’s torturing me…

^audreylee: you have to check the online application decision page using the username and password they emailed you earlier. good luck!

and I was accepted as well (from Canada). so happy!! :)

Congrats Greekstudent- I’ll see you in September,
and don’t give up goldnano, and good luck!!! :)

Here are my stats by the way:

Gender: Female
Country: Canada
Ethnicity: Asian
Intended major: Economics/Math/French/History

Class rank: 5 / 450+
GPA: school doesn’t do GPA. But average = 95+% for sure
SAT: 2280
-Math 800
-Reading 710
-Writing 770
SAT Subject Tests
-Chinese 800
-Math L2 800

 • French 760

I won’t list all my extracurriculars since there are too many. But I have done 200 hours of community service, am really engaged in school extracurriculars, started my own charity club, worked part time jobs for 3 years, curls, and basically am really passionate about my really quirky and unique interests. I’ve also consistently taken the most rigorous courses in school and really enjoy them.

Also, for those freshmen- juniors, don’t worry if your grades or scores are high enough now, I had quite low grades in grade 9 and 10 too (I only decided to go American a few months ago). What you should aim for is an improving trend, to show that you’re persistent and trying to improve and working hard.

Good luck everyone!

Austrianpog CONGRATULATIONS!!! I’ll see you at Midd!!!
We are collegemates!!!

Forgot to mention…
Like austrianpog I decided to study at US somewhere between September 2010… and I first learned about the SAT’s TOEFL ect one month before I had to take them!!!

So be prepared for everything in life… ALAWAYS work hard and you will get rewarded!!!

I got in with a 2030 SAT and 3.2 GPA but I did send them a pretty good (imo) art supplement.

Male from New Delhi

General12345, I am incredibly jealous.
I got rejected with a 2050 SAT and 3.32 gpa

To be fair, I also had a fantastic interview (and interviewer) and had a lot of environmental awareness-oriented EC’s (did an internship at India’s foremost nature related production company and started several clubs on awareness).

Congrats to everyone, and take heart, deferred! Just be sure to show them that Midd is still your first choice!

OldbatesieDoc have faith!!! Those who dare are those who succeed. Send an additional essay, require for another interview, visit the campus, call the admission office and inform them that you really want to attend Midd and it is your first choice. Do not sit and wait. Take Action!!! There are no standards or recipies, it’s all about YOU!
Wish you the best!

Hey GreekStudent, OldbatesieDoc is the mother of two current Midd-Kids. She’s a regular Poster here on CC. She was telling those who had been deferred to take heart. Honest mistake though.

Really? My bad. I thought she was deferred! OMG lol! I am so happy that I can make the most stupid mistakes. Sorry OldbatesieDoc!!! :-)

To all those deferred-you actually have a shot at RD, so don’t give up! Everything will work out in the end.

Congrats those who accepted. Thank you GreekStudent and Austrianpog

Congrats!!! So what major/career path have you guys chosen? As for me, I’m not sure what to major in (computer science, english, international relations)…how are these programs at Midd?

Sidrak2010 did you get in?
I want to major in neuroscience or biology but I would also like to study international relationships or economy. In short, I would like to double major or use the major-minor option. I haven’t looked at this yet, but I am going to.

sidrak2010, middlebury has a strong international relations programs for sure.

and i want to major in so many disciplines too-- econ, math, french, history, etc… theyre all so amazing! :)
