Accepted!!! So thrilled.

To everyone who was denied or deferred, don’t lose courage. You’re all going to end up at fantastic schools.

Accepted :open_mouth:

Admissions are always dependent on multiple factors, many of which we cannot control. Luck also plays a role. The decision does not matter nearly as much as the effort you put in. You all deserve to be proud of yourselves.

@jesswin100 So excited to meet you

Accepted!

DS accepted! It was the 9th of 10 schools that we visited and as soon as he got there, it was apparent that it fit him perfectly! The resources and campus are amazing and the kids from his school who have gone there in the past are great kids. And it even has water polo at the club level, which was important to him, though not absolutely required. For people looking for “chance me” info - he got his ACT up to a 34 composite, had very interesting essays, worked in a lab, has taken reasonably challenging course load and does about the usual types of extracurriculars. He was captain of his HS water polo team but is not at the level that he could be recruited by any of the relatively few men’s East coast teams that recruit for water polo. Happy to be finished with the college process now - this was 4th and last child and when I first went through this process 10 years ago, it seemed less stressful.

Accepted! My ACT score was a 30–for all those that wonder if they should apply or not solely based on a score, I want to tell them to still go for it! They really do give a holistic review.

accepted! 3.2 GPA, 34 ACT. This just goes to show that you do not need a perfect 4.0 GPA to get into a school like Tufts. They really do practice what they preach: holistic admissions.
