Ed 2

I am confused , is there a second ED process with decisions given 2/15. Please clarify.

Yes, there is a second ED process. And yes, decisions are given on 2/15. :) Are you thinking of applying EDII?

yes, Wes was so impressive when I visited. I am interested in art, film, sports and creative writing. It appears to be very open-minded

Do you think there is an advantage?

There's definitely an advantage to applying EDII here.

showtunesguy--advantage, meaning statistically?

i'm not positive, but i think even statistically it would be somewhat of an advantage. if nothing else, it is telling wesleyan that they are your first choice, it feels like it fits you better than any other school out there, which will make them look on you even more keenly.

i would definitely apply ED if i could, but i'm a transfer student, and i need to make sure i have a good financial aid package before i can agree to attend the school.

yes. also it seems that an advantage of Wes is it is a university but the college compares favorably to Bowdoin, Amherst,Williams etc in intimacy. I think a university might have more resources. Overall it seems to fit my personality and interests which are humanities, fine arts, athletics, intellectual rigor. It seems on first blush a little more pretentious than let say Bowdoin or Middlebury that just may have been the impression my tour guide gave, she was so wound up in both her appearence and life, kinda turned me off. So doesnt matter i guess I will apply ED11

if we apply ED II to Wesleyan, are we still allowed to apply to other schools RD? Or does that go against the whole binding thing of EDs?

Nothing kicks in until you're actually accepted. Then, you're duty bound to rescind your RD applications (this is no different than EDI.) Until then, you can apply to as many colleges RD as you like.

I missed ED I but another visit to the school convinces me I should go ED 2. Good luck all you ED 1ers!
