Has anyone who applied ED to Brown to the class of 2015 heard from their interviewers?
I have a twin who applied ED to Brown too, and he has already been contacted by the person who is interviewing him. Should I be worried that nobody has contacted me, or just patient?
thanks

Same question, I know someone applying in China, and she was contacted already.

I applied ED and my interviewer contacted me last week. I had my interview yesterday.

Many have, and many have not. It’s as simple as that. Save the worrying for if you aren’t contacted for an interview in ~2 weeks.

As I explain in this thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/brown-university/810532-brown-interview-faq-answers.html

I have been contacted.

I was contacted last week and my interview is this saturday.

I was contacted about 4 days after the early decision deadline (I submitted the day before deadline).

To reiterate, as an interviewer: whether or not you have been contacted has nothing to do with the status of your application; it has to do with the status of the busy (or not so busy) alumni who are charged arranging your interview and interviewing you. No evaluation is made of your application before you are offered an interview.

ok thanks everyone, I wont worry then.

I JUST got my request today.

I got the interview email 7 days ago, but I never noticed!!! Then I got another email asking what’s going on. Hahaa

Not sure “hahaa” is the best response :P

Dear Applicants: PLEASE check the e-mail address that you gave out on your application.

Does Brown interview everyone if they can (if this was answered sorry) A lot of confusion on the ED threads on a few schools over who gets picked and people trying to read meaning into it. Most feel good that they get called but its pretty much done before the file is pulled right? So its mostly just that its not a linear process, especially ED where its so compressed a time period, some people must get missed.
There was a case where 5 people in one school were applying but only one person got and interview setup so far (not at Brown but similar concepts to thoughts floating here).
I think that its the same for a lot of schools that try to interview, the randomness of the timing is mainly the interviewer’s work/free schedule etc.
A lot of us parents know that many HS kids barely use e-mail. Its funny, they text and text but most do not even know how to set up sorting filters and folders for their Mac so that stuff stays organized. I seem to recall looking at a person I knows email intray and it had mails from 3 years ago! Sounds like the guy who did not notice for 7 days had the same training class…enjoy your interviews Brown Ed candidates and good luck.

Got contacted today yesssss!

I am so nervous; I need to make sure that I do not sound either A) Boring and stupid or B) Nervous and unresponsive!

Good luck to all other interviewees!

If your assigned interview has known your family for years and years, is that not allowed?

big dreamer: That should NOT happen. If the alum has known you for years and wants to write a supplementary recommendation, that’s find. But the interviewer and student should not know each other well.
