ED 2022

Application for DS in…now the waiting begins!

Best of luck to all ED applicants this year, applications were at a record last year so it will be keeping my fingers crossed. Williams definitely likes to see the trifecta of strong academics, creativity and extra curriculars. Please post any questions you may have.

Whats their average new sat

Here we go!

@nillupa 1443 for the new SAT, 33 for ACT superscore according to their website

Wow it seems as if new sat is harder than old sat. Upenn average is 1450 and Princeton is 1460

I just submitted my application! Now the waiting begins…

Finally some other people who are applying ED to Willams. I’ve looked all over reddit and the internet, and it seems that there’s just a handful of other people applying. Maybe that’s a good thing?

@Route2 Super excited, I love Williams. I have yet to meet one person that’s heard of it though  such is the LAC way.

Also applied ED last night! Fingers crossed! Anyone know what the process is like from here forward? How do we get admission results?

So glad to hear others are applying. Boards for lehigh aren’t “active”. My daughter went through the process 2 years ago and although she didn’t apply to Williams all the other schools send an email with a link to the portal when decisions are made. From what I read the decisions came out a week early last year.

Good luck to everyone who applied ED!

Pretty soon, the admission office should send you your application acknowledgement with a link where you can check your application status.

They usually also post an announcement on the admissions website that provides the release date when its gets closer to the date. Other schools have a similar practice of announcing their release date, someone should keep tabs of all the dates.

Last year decisions were posted on December 9th. Good luck everyone!

Do a lot of people like to watch the football games at Williams?

Yes, football games attract large attendance, tailgates, etc. It’s a classic New England weekend tradition, cidar and all. The games are lot of fun to watch and tons of families go together.

@TennisParent thanks. How beautiful is the Williams campus? The town itself looks wonderful.

It is very pretty. It has a backdrop of mountains.

Although I love Williams and am a proud alumna, and it is certainly pretty, IMO there are prettier campuses. The buildings are a hodge podge of different styles and a bit crowded together, with a street cutting through campus.

Middlebury has my vote for most breathtakingly beautiful campus, with matched gray stone buildings in perfect condition, spread out along very roomy green quads, with gorgeous mountain views on all sides.

Then again, at Middlebury you have to take a drive to hike up those mountains, whereas you can walk from Williams to the nearest mountain and start your hike.

Any idea if admission decisions will be released on Friday the 8th?
