I was just browsing some threads about people asking if they heard anything from Cornell since mailing their $400 deposit and then checked my email right after and was coincidentally greeted with this:
(EDIT- holy crap, we get free T shirts! :p)

Dear _________,

I am pleased to once again congratulate you on your admission to Cornell University and welcome you to the Class of 2013!

Very soon, you will receive your Case for Cornell packet that will provide you with information about housing, dining, financial aid, as well as Cornell Days, our on-campus program for admitted students; the dates for Cornell Days are April 9-11, 13, 16-18, and 20.

If you haven't done so already, please be sure to order your free tee shirt; just follow the link on the admitted students' web site.

As always, if you have questions or need assistance, please contact the Undergraduate Admissions Office at admissions@cornell.edu or (607) 255-5241.

I look forward to seeing you on campus for Cornell Days and to welcoming you to Cornell this August!

With best regards,

Yay, free shirt! They only ask for your email address though lol. I guess all your info/address is attached to that. Wow, I can’t even begin to express my suspense at receiving that shirt in the mail. All I know is this: I’m wearing it the first day/chance that I get!!

Finally! I was so excited when I got that e-mail! The shirt looks sweet, but not as cool as the ivysport one. But i guess that it trumps it b/c its free.

you sure you didn’t get the email. The sender was undergraduate admissions. I almost deleted it b/c of the generic sender name, so make sure you didn’t.

oh just an update, i didn’t get the e-mail but i got a pick package in the mail the next day that had the same sheet as was e-mailed with the free shirt offer so if you didn’t get it, it’s okay.
