^ The difference in ED acceptance rates will be minimal–a point or two either way. That shouldn’t be a determinative factor for you. Instead, apply to the school with the curriculum and academic opportunities that most inspire and excite you, so that your application and essays can reflect that inspiration and excitement. You’ll enhance your prospects much more by doing that, than you would by merely picking a school because its ED acceptance rate this particular year may be a point or two higher than that of another school. At this level of selectivity, a point or two difference in acceptance rates is really meaningless. :)

“The 11.78% seems more realistic to me and it’s directly from the admissions numbers for the class of 2018.”

For some reason, the page you are referring to is from 2017 and has not been updated.

Again, for most applicants, trying to select a college based on these numbers is a mistake. You need to apply to the college that you believe is the best fit for you. If you have good liberal arts credentials, but are applying to SEAS because the historical admission rate is a bit higher, that is a big mistake. This will not help your chances.

It does appear, however, based on the recent post by guy785231, that the Adcom may, from time to time, reach out to certain students who they believe could be a better fit in a different college. I think that is definitely a positive.

I know that people have talked about this before on College Confidential, but can someone just give me an idea on ED rates to Wharton. I know that Wharton does not release it, but I was curious if anyone could just provide me some sort of estimate in regards to its ED Rate, RD Rate, and any other admissions info.

Thank you!
