I need to shout it from the mountains... I just got in! What a relief!

How about you guys?

My favorite part of the letter: "The admission Committee has completed a careful and thorough review of your credentials and your application has been approved by unanimous vote." Did any one elses say that?

To tell you the truth, you don't need to do all that well now. They'll scold you if you get a low grade... a C or D, I don't even know. But you're set. I guess we'll be seeing you in 9 months!

well I got a letter from the cross country coach and it said that I had not been accepted. Does anyone know if this is total rejection or am I differed.

well turns out I got flat out rejected. I guess they look too heavily at CR and B's in English and History aren't enough. I guess the search begins for another college I really fit well with.

Darn. Sorry man...I wish you the best of luck in your college search. You seem like a nice, charismatic guy, and I am sure you will do fine wherever you end up.

about the unanimous vote, i read on their admissions site that every applicant is voted on by the entire admissions committee... and if and only if they get an unanimous vote are they let it in...
which is tough, i suppose, if you miss it by one vote
