Sooo I notice most people post SAT scores, but I took the ACT route with the 2 subject tests when I applied, and I'm wondering if my score constitutes a good, competitive score when it comes to Columbia Admissions?

Composite:29

English:33
Math:24
Reading:35
Science:26
Writing:31 (10 out of 12)

Now, these are my highest out of the 3 separate test dates I've taken. I applied ED and took ACT with writing in late October. Will Admissions automatically choose and consider my best scores, (they have improved since what was on my application) or no?

Thank you so much:)

29 is not a good score for Columbia when many students get perfect scores. The good news is that it is not all they look at. They may see something else in you that they want. Good luck.

Achieving a 32+ composite score would have definitely improved your chances… To be honest, a 29 isn’t a terribly competitive score. It seems that your math and science really brought you down - sorry about that :(. And unfortunately, I don’t think that Columbia superscores applicants’ ACT scores (or at least that’s what I’ve heard).

On the bright side, stalkermama speaks the truth. I sure hope that you have a good GPA, great essays and teacher/counselor recs, and some hooks to help you out. You never know.

Good luck, ashtonconner!
