ED admissions results ARE ONLINE!!!!

I got in!

Good luck to everyone!

and remember, college admissions is a ridiculous crapshoot that noone can predict!

LIES!!! There is nothing on mine.

why would you post this if it isnt true. You know how anxious we all are, that totally was not cool.

Still under review, no news for me

It is under review for me as well. I was got incredibly nervous...

I think that was very ignorant of him to post this. Please, no one knows yet. Wait until 5pm Rice time to check anyway. Rice is like JHU, they feel like when you find out, you should be at home with your family, not at school during the day.

And he didn't even apply ED to Rice.

You know what will make me feel old? When some over-excited ED admittee creates the "Rice Class of 2013" Facebook group. Jesus Christ.

The clock is ticking..

I feel you there NYSKins...

Beef, aren't you a freshman? I mean, I rolled my eyes at the creation of the "Class of 2011" group my freshman year, but I'm just going to feel depressed when this one (the last freshman class I will see matriculate at Rice) gets formed.

I guarantee you that it'll be me if I get in, lol. I'll also be the first person to join the Rice '13 network on FB. :P

Ah, I best not get my hopes up too much, though.

It's actually funny to see how pre-Rice non-personal interactions manifest themselves once people actually get here. Being ridiculously active on the Facebook group is sure to get you a reputation (or at least name recognition) before you even get here, but then sometimes those people just fall off the face of the earth. My freshman year there was one guy I talked to on Facebook and on the Class of 2010 forum (yeah, we had a forum, but the O-Week Coordinators made the guy who made it take it down, for good reason) a lot whom I was totally convinced would be one of my really good friends. I talked to him maybe once the entirety of first semester, but then second semester we got to know each other really well, and now he's one of my best friends.

Note to all applicants: please don't be That Facebook Girl. Or the guy who tries to friend every freshman girl in the class. Ew to both.
