So who else got in? I am so happy!

What were your stats? I am applying RD.

Congratulations for your daughter.

enfall2004
28 ACT, 3.5 GPA (unweighted).
I searched your posts.

I got in too...

my stats:

3.83 GPA (unweighted, no APs at my school, but I did take german/russian independently outside of school, and I took calculus at a college near my HS this semester)
1290/2010 SATs (600 CR, 690 math, 720 writing) - but all in one sitting, an improvement over the first time in every section
750 GER w/ Listening SAT II

i also got in !

my stats: 1320 SAT (600 CR 720 math) also 740 math SAT II --> i took them only once. 3.7 gpa weighted. Only 2 APs this year (calculus and bio). Im soooo excited! :-)

omg i still haven't gotten my results.........

all results are sent at the same time rt? (no separation btwn acceptance, deferred...?)

congrats to everyone that got in

I got my acceptance via fed-ex first day air. I seriously doubt they would spend the money to send rejections or deferrals one day air... or even in a large envelope...

YAY! i got my acceptance letter! ( i got it like 30 min after my post)

Congrats, what are your stats?

PLEASE POST UR STATS EVERYONE WHO GETS IN / DEFERRED OR REJECTED!!!

does anyone want to start one of those stat threads for the class of 2011...?

I doubt many people will be posting, this could be the thread I guess. START NOW!

U of R class of 2011 :)

Funniest thing ever though-- Fed Ex wrote the wrong address on their envelope, even though it was correct on the UR package so they couldn't deliver it yesterday. I had to drive 25 minutes not knowing if it was an acceptance, deferral, or rejection. Talk about stress.

Stats:
SAT I 1350/2050
SAT II math IIc 680, math IC 720
GPA 3.61 UW and W
2 honors this year(basically the same as AP-- very tough school), only 6 honors classes in total although a full set are offered
ECs- seriously nothing spectacular-- no leadership w/ the exception of a co-committee chairperson, though I did earn the girl scout silver award and a few art things, but really nothing major

I'm assuming my essays, recs, and interview got me in, since I think I came across as both normal and unusual :)

Essay topic: art and how I finally realized that what was missing was the link b/t the physical beauty and the emotion

I actually wrote a 1 paragraph, 2 paragraph, and 3 paragraph response for each of the Rochester supplemental questions lol They said it was ok since the responses were important to them... apparently so lol

I actually thought I would get deferred b/c my grades freshman year were 3.39 and sophomore was less than a 3.6

Rochester's avg is supposedly a 3.8

Grades really must not be eveything...

Oh-- and I demonstrated a huge interest in UR-- I visited 3 times in total-- 2 tour/info sessions and once for a class visit and overnight

I also had an off-campus interview, but you could probably get that from the previous post...

Welcome to UR!
You are lucky- your first year will be the first year of our better dining!
