ED and <$20,000 Annual Income

Many say that ED is the wrong choice if financial aid is important. However, I was wondering if someone with an annual income of less than $20,000 would really have to worry about not getting enough aid.

I prob. know the answer, but I'm hoping someone out there will say "you'll be fine." lol

Specifically, this question is about NYU. I know they're known for less than amazing aid, but would someone in this situation get more than enough (strictly need-based...let's not get into merit yet) just because of how low it is?

Um. NYU? I would strongly rethink that. I'm not sure if NYU is need-blind even...if they aren't I'm pretty sure they won't admit you ED. If they admit you ED, you're gonna be saddled with lots of loans. I'd only ED to Stern in this situation (so if you get a bad aid package you can make lots of money after college).

NYU does not even promise to meet 100% of your need. And remember, your "need" is how they calculate it, not how you calculate it.

Do NOT apply ED to NYU if you need financial aid.

I will add my NO to NYU ED in your situation.
