ED and EA Question

If one applies Early Action/Decision, does he/she need to submit all the required data for admissions? For example, if a school requires 3 SAT II Subject Tests and I don't think I'll have time to take all 3 by the EA dedline, can I still apply EA or is that no longer an option or can I just send in the Subject Test scores after I have been (if possible) accepted?

If you are taking those exams during the October SAT date, then those schools will recieve those scores by the time they review you application (the college board will send them to your colleges around Nov. 1). If you are taking those tests on a later date (i.e. December) then those colleges will not receive your scores in time to make a decision, so you can’t apply ED or EA.

Most schools list very clearly on their websites the deadlines for taking the appropriate tests for each application deadline. For example, they may say that testing must be completed by October for Early Action and by January for Regular Decision. If they don’t list it on their website, call and ask. They don’t keep these things secret.

Check the specifics for the schools to which you want to apply.
