ED App?- Testing and EC's

Hey, I have 2 questions about my application. The first regarding ACT/SAT score reporting and the second regarding the ED application and extra curriculars. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

1) The deadline for my testing to be completed is the October date for ED. I am planning to take the September administration of the ACT and the October testing of the SAT. Will I have time to view these reports online before deciding which to send to my college. Or will I have to initially list the schools where i want the scores sent before taking the test to make sure they arrive in time?

2) I have many EC's that I have been involved in (clubs and volunteering) but the main would be baseball. As for the hrs/week, weeks/yr criteria on the application, I spend a LOT of time conditioning and preparing in a team setting before tryouts and the actual season begin. This is spent in a team setting at the school under the supervision of the coach, and along with fellow teamates. Although optional, it is highly recommended and not personal training. Would this qualify as time put into the EC of Varsity Baseball?

Background Info: Already taken SAT, of course! Just trying to raise it in October and trying out the ACT which I have prepped for and feel much more comfortable taking. Using Common/Universal App. Thanks for any help.

I barely know anything about ED so I won’t presume to answer that question. however, for your second question, yes, the optional time you’ve spent on baseball does count as part of the EC “Varsity Baseball.”

Thanks Ealgian! That will help my hours significantly. Does anyone have prior experience with reporting ACT scores and how quickly they are availible to be sent after viewing online to answer my first question? Thanks.

sorry im not too sure about the ED stuff either, but i would definitely count those hours too!

Most schools will tell you somewhere in the admissions section of the site which test date you should complete tests by. I’m pretty positive the October scores will be available to the schools in time for ED. When you choose the school to send your scores to online at CB, they generally say how the scores are sent. Most are sent online, so I imagine they would sent around the same time you are able to view your scores online.

With the SAT, you can choose which schools to send your scores to up until a week after the testing date, but you can’t choose the schools after the scores are up. I’m not sure about the ACT, it will be my first time taking it this September also.

This link - [ACT Score Information: Viewing Scores Early](<a href=“ACT Test Scores | ACT Scoring | ACT”>ACT Test Scores | ACT Scoring | ACT) - gives the dates for last year’s test scores. I don’t know if they will change, and they just might, but I believe this gives you a pretty good ballpark. It also warns you that “Normally, all scores are reported by 8 weeks after the test date.” Read through it carefully, there’s some stuff on ACT with Writing below the chart. Hope this helps.

Thanks to all those that have given advice. You’ve been a great help. Im not sure if I expressed my original question in proper terms and it seemed as if others werent exactly sure about the situation either, but the advice they did give was very helpful. So here is a scenario of the question, if you can help Great!, if not, no problem as most of my questions have been answered:

I take the ACT in September, but do not indicate any colleges to send scores to at the time of the administration. 8 days later I look online and view my scores that are availible online and are very impressive. As soon as i see the scores online, can I request to have them sent to a particular college, (8 days after administration and before receiving a report via mail) or will I have to wait until the results have been sent out via mail to request to have the previous score reported to a college?

Once again, i know its very confusing and there may be no1 with the sure answer, but thanks to all those who spoke earlier, u were a huge help! Thanks!
