Hey....I've been reading all of your posts for a while now, figured I'd join in. Im a senior girl from NY. I applied early decision and the anxiety is setting in....15 days....

lol tenacious a new recruit :)~

welcome to the emory forum, you are about the 4th or 5th person to say they are applying ed I to emory. on top of that you are the first girl applause

So what do your stats look like?

Thank goodness. I thought it was gonna be an entirely male class of 2009!
Do we know yet if they mail the decisions the 13th or the 15th? If its the 15th, we might not be hearing until the following week.

From New York too! We fit the stereotype; what do you have to say for yourself, Farbdogg?

hey...my stats are:
SAT: math-690 verbal-720
GPA-3.7 unweighted/ 4.0 weighted
very rigorious schedule-all AP and honors
great EC's--comm service, competition club--officers in both
2 years of work experience

what about all of you???

Hey you fit right in. I have a 1380, but 3.8 uw, 4.3 w.

im the rainy seattle stereotype, im like the only ed kid in this state lol, which should help.

my stats arent the best, 3.4 uw gpa 1450 sat (740m 710V) national merit semi-finalist yay, i think that should help some.

You have the SAT working for you though. Thats the important thing.

You guys will have to let me know if you'll be joining the Emory community next year.

Absolutely. Just wondering, were the majority of the CC people who are currently freshman at Emory ED or RD applicants?

Around 40% of the freshman class are ED.

One more question: I read somewhere that the class of 08' is 57 % girls and 43 % guys. Is this really noticable when walking around campus?

Not at all

im applying ED as well. I am a jersey girl and my stats are 4.4 w gpa, 1420 SATS, a lot of ECS..i cant take this waiting for the letter lol

haha, you think your scared, they still dont have my SAT Scores that I sent pn October 29th, so i had to priority send them last night in fear that they wouldnt get there in time

I thought the SAT Scores are sent automatically if you put the school on your list on Collegeboard.com? Should I be nervous? Cuz that can be arranged...

yeah you send them but it takes three to five weeks, so technically they might not get there till december 10th, probably when they are finally done with everything so im freaking out

I wouldn't worry. I'm sure that there are a ton of people in the same boat, and I'll bet that Emory is aware of the situation.

SAT scores actually aren't that important to emory...they's rather see a hard schedule

i know i have that, thats why my gpa is low
