Just read, Duke had a 32 PERCENT INCREASE IN ITS ED APPLICANTS. Other colleges

Duke: +32%
Dartmouth: +3%
Yale: -5%
George Washington: +24%

So far thats all I could find. But wow...so don't be surprised to see an increase in ED applicants to UPenn.

I speak for every other Penn student and alum when I say “Well I certainly hope so, or I want Eric Furda fired”

bagel lover why does it mean so much to current students and alumni that applications are up? The number of accepted students isn’t increasing so more applications only means more dissappointed applicants. Why is this so important to current and former students?

we like to see greater demand because it indicates a strengthening penn brand

our goal is to see penn loved and respected worldwide for all of its distinctive strengths

^ that being said. I applied this year and a 32% increase would not be good

^ couldn’t agree more. PLEASEE let penn applicant go down this year for me PLEASEEEE!

haha I think no matter what happens with the number of ED applications, it will still be a very competitive pool. I think each year applicants are stronger.

I just don’t see why everyone with better stats than me can’t apply to Stanford or Yale scea

aahah well apparently on the yale forum, they are reporting a four percent DROP which is wierd given then data of other schools =/

i think UPenn’s newspaper will post the # of its ED applicants, soon (after thanksgiving break)

But yea. I hope we have less ED’s to UPenn this year!!! Just this year though ;)

^haha… aren’t we all so selfish…

=P

Haha, agreed. But come on, if you are an ED applicant, don’t tell me you wish an increase in applicants to UPenn for ED right? =P
