If you applied ED to NYU, please post when you received your decision, the college you got accepted into, and where you live. If you haven't received your decision yet, please also post to let us know that you haven't yet received anything.

i didn't receive my decision yet.. UGGHH. i applied to NYU CAS and was considered for the C-STEP program. My mom called on Thursday and the admissions rep said that he could not give my actual decision over the phone but he did say that "it looks good" and to give it about another week. Then he hurried my mom off of the phone very fast as so that she wouldn't ask what my application "looking good" meant. What do you think this means??

i got mine on 12/15, postmarked 12/12. CAS.
International, that is.

cj1989, I do not know what the admissions officer meant by saying your application "look[ed] good." Did your mom tell them your name/student ID? How were they able to look up your application? And where do you live?

Thanks for reminding me, xabi. Please also post when your acceptance/rejection letter was postmarked. Looking at last year's threads, it seems that NYU sends out decisions in at least two "waves."

applied ED to CAS...

got a letter from GSP on 11/25 saying i had a spot
got the official acceptance packet 12/15
i live in florida

i have a friend who applied to NYU early decision.. he doesnt know whats going on and hes really anxious about his decision. He is wondering how to check his decision. Email? Mail? Online account?

Daughter applied to CAS and has not heard either way as yet. Too bad NYU doesn't allow you to check online like many other schools. Many of my daughter's friends have heard already from Duke, Georgetown, Binghamton, Tulane, Cornell, Gettysburg, Dartmouth, Tufts, etc. Some surprising rejects from Tufts & Duke for strong students. However, Cornell and Gettysburg took more than 2 from our school which is a small, competitive school on Long Island.

Four people from my school applied to Stern, and so far only one person has heard back (accepted on Thu 12/14)

I'm still waiting

I got mine on friday, 12/15, I live all the way on the east end of long island. I'm going o gallatin.

Hey got in on 12/16/06 and I live in Philadelphia. Oh yea I applied to Steinhardt school.

lmaty & eilahtan Tisch dance (accepted) heard on 12/13 New York City

I live in Texas and I'm still waiting. It's really frustrating because they said we should know by the end of this week, and it's the end of the week and I'm still in the dark. Why NYU doesn't do online is beyond me. It's more convenient, easier, and there's far less room for error than thousands of envelopes and the USPS.

It is definitely frustrating, especially since in my school one person already found out so the rest of us are still waiting. I forgot to mention earlier, but I'm in NJ should if it was sent this week, I should've gotten it relatively quickly.

TODAY!!! AND IT'S AN AFFIRMATIVE AND BIG ENVELOPE!!!!~~~~~woohoo!!!!~~~~

I got my envelope on December 14th. I live in Northern Jersey (close to the city).
