Ok, so I called the admissions office at JHU on Dec. 1 to verify if my application is complete. Everything checked out and the admissions rep said my application was complete and I had nothing to worry about. Well I called again today to make sure everything was in order and I received some baddd news. They said that my ED agreement was not in. I can swear that I had send this to JHU more than a month ago. The admissions lady told me to fax it to JHU asap which is going to be tomorrow since I need the counselor's signature. Am I completely screwed and is my application going to be deferred to regular decision?? I am very very worried so please advise me. Thank you for reading/commenting.

Bump…

weird? maybe they were wrong…how could one say you were fine and the other not? I thought they were supposed to contact us if we didn’t have everything. No just get it in again they obviously reviewed your application if the admission rep read it lol?

There is absolutely nothing to worry about. We will only defer a student because their application remained incomplete after numerous times letting the student know they had missing items. If you got your missing form in before final decisions are rendered then there is no problem. We understand that occassionally an item will go missing in the mail, not get processed correctly, or just disappears. We will not let an application go incomplete without making every effort to connect with the student. This process has been going on for the last three weeks.

When an application is reviewed by the Admissions Committee we never know if an application had missing items or when the application became complete. Therefore a missing item is not going to impact an admissions decision.
