I am applying to Amherst ED (im an International), but I am also applying to Oxford(UK), National Univeristy of Singapore (Singapore), and McGill (Canada).

So my simple question is, if I get into Amherst by a freak miracle of nature, do I get to choose between different schools or do HAVE to go there? Because Amherst is my second choice, all things considered.

Thnx.

lol

you pretty much have to go there. if you're applying ED, then you'll need to sign a contract saying that you won't back out.

why are you applying ED to your 2nd choice school?
why not apply ED to the 1st choice one?

thats cuz my actual first choice is Oxford, and I can't ED there. But my first choice in the US is amherst, so I was planning to ED there. confused

So it means I will not be able to go to Oxford if I get into Amherst?

Can I have some definite info on this?

yes ED means you HAVE to attend.

Yes you won't be able to attend Oxford if you get into Amherst... Or rather, you can accept Oxford, then face the fury of both schools' rush to rescind you.
