So, I'm in the process of completing the JHU application for November 1st. My teachers are writing my letters of recommendation, and my counselor's been done for a few weeks. Is there anything else I need to do? Checking just in case. Interview?

Getting done early? Good idea. Just make sure you read, re-read, and re-read some more all of your application materials. Just make sure that before you submit, you are positive there are no mistakes, and nothing you don't want them to know.

Good luck!!

Me too. I have pretty much all of my material finished for applying ED. But is there a random interview system at Hopkins? For example, they randomly pick some kids to get interviewed? Also, I'm coming to the Open House on the 18th and staying overnight on Nov. 6th, so are there any things I should do in particular to get a better feel for the University I already adore?

I've never heard of random interviews. This is a university, not the IRS-they just randomly audit people.

Sit in on classes that might interest you. You'll get a good feel.

When I applied (however, things may have changed), there was a choice of whether or not an applicant wanted to attend an interview. Supposedly, it only helps you (well, in most cases).

Most universities tell you it has no impact on your chances. I don't know how true that really is. And in my last post, I meant to say "they DON'T just randomly audit people".
