Hi there!
I got into Cornell this year and I would say in terms of numbers you at least break the threshold.
My SAT I was lower that yours (i got a 2280), my SAT II’s (only took two) were a BIO 790 and a USH 760. Also, I took AP exams since I am in the United States and those A-level exams are not offered.
But I would say that the most crucial component of an application at this level, since most people do have a high stats are you personal statement, supplemental writings, and recommendations. This is because those add a personality to the flood of numbers that an admissions office receives each year. Therefore, you should really work hard on these components of your application, but also try and capture who you are and not what you think the adcoms want to see.
If you would like, I can email you my essays that got me into Cornell RD (I applied to the college of arts and sciences). Also, what is your major? That can be a component on chossing where you want to apply.

Ok. You also asked about financial aid. All of the Ivy League schools offer financial aid to international applicants and need-blind. I know this for sure with Brown, Cornell, Harvard, Yale, and Princeton. However, schools like Stanford DO NOT offer financial aid to international applicants. BTW, from what I know Canadians are not considered internationals and placed into the domestic application pile at the Ivy schools.

When it comes to applying ED, well that is up to you. I did not bc i did not want to be locked into a school by December if I had gotten in. I will not be attending Cornell, I will instead be attending Brown, so if you are considering applying there as well I can email the writing i submitted to that school as well.

Let me know if you would like more info

FYI, I began my college apps in early July, and I applied RD, so i would guess that if you want to apply ED you should at least be getting at outline of your application going. :)

Hey swimmer thanks A LOT for that man that was extremely helpful i must admit i really appreciate it.Firstly, yes if you can please forward me your essays i would extremely appreciate because it will help me understand how to go about it.Wow,good to hear about my scores :P.BTW,i have read my recommendations and they look extremely stellar to me all of them so i hope the adcoms will be impressed too.Coming to the supplements and college essay,so what you’re saying is that if i can start working on my essays,my overall application is good to go?
Yes,i am also intending to apply in the college of arts and sciences and i am intedning to major in either Economics or Government.
Aaah yes clever but you got into brown man that’s very impressive.Plus, good to hear all Ivies are need blind for Canadians that is a massive boost.I would love to apply to brown but do you think my application is good enough? :frowning:
Plus, can you advise me on where to apply as far as ED is concerned?because the reason i’m applying to cornell on ed because i feel i can match their stats the other ivies look unreachable.Reply back asap and thanks again :)

Please emai me your essays to shani14880@hotmail.com
