I go to the top public school in the state so classes can be pretty rigorous. I’m applying to the Music Industry program. I’ve been pretty loaded in terms of extracurriculars, though haven’t really done anything with clubs. I’ve been playing piano most of my life, and was the captain of my soccer team. I also volunteer for my local rescue squad, and am the manager for a student chamber music group. Any input would be awesome.
I guess I should also add that I am a primary caretaker for my grandparents, so I’ve had to balance a lot as you can imagine. Gonna milk that a bit in the portfolio questions.
I don’t know much about Northeastern, other than the research I have done since my son is also applying. He is applying EA with similar stats. I would suspect applying ED will help you, especially if you do not need financial aid. If you are interested in their semester abroad program, that could also help. Good luck!
My son has similar stats though a bit higher GPA. We consider NE a reach for him though not an impossible one to possibly get in. NE is not need blind though which might put students with a high need at a disadvantage.
Good luck and be smart about solid plan B colleges!
