Rejected :frowning: and a general reminder that any college that doesnā€™t accept you is missing out and youā€™ll find somewhere that will appreciate you. Good luck everyone

Does anyone know what % are deferred vs. what % are rejected?

Accepted! Is someone gonna make a results page for 2019?

Iā€™ll try to make one

Made a results discussion board ā€œBarnard Class of 2019 Resultsā€

I got deferredā€¦ Congrats to everyone who got in! Hope to be joining the admitted group in the spring!.. To everyone who got rejected, there are plenty of schools out there that are amazing and want you!

I was deferred. Feeling pretty bummed and discouraged. I guess thereā€™s still hope but Iā€™m afraid itā€™ll be harder in the regular decision pool

Rejected. Iā€™m pretty upset about it. I wanted this school more than anything; i wish they could have seen that.

@oklivy I know someone who wanted Duke more than anythingā€¦ didnā€™t get itā€¦ but in the spring he got Harvard! So it all works out.

@desie1 I hope so. I have other schools iā€™ve applied to that I like, but not nearly as much as I loved this school. I know it will all be ok in the end. Iā€™m just disappointed right now.

I also visited Barnard in August. I applied to Barnard Bound but was not selected. As part of my common application, I submitted some photographs as part of the arts supplemental. I had an alumni interview with a retired teacher. It was scheduled for 45 minutes but lasted 2 hours. I thought it went very well. I had fantastic references from my AP English, AP US History, and Spanish III Honors teachers as well as my high school counselor. Essays were about topics of interests to Barnard (males dominate the class discussion, interviewing Zora Neale Hurston about her views on integration of the schools; being unafraid when I auditioned for the Alvin Ailey Summer Dance Intensive).

Excited to be able to dance with Millie the Dancing Bear at Barnard! Congratulations to my future classmates.

I still havenā€™t got any email from Barnard neither did I receive the email that informed me when the result would come out several days ago. But I did receive the confirmation email that made sure I sent my application. Is there anybody in the same situation?

I think you should contact them.

Good Luck to all the ED candidates! My D applied RD so itā€™ll be a while before she hears anything. Crossing fingers
