Please don’t chance me w/ numbers, just want opinions on how a 3.41 GPA would be seen by admissions officers. This number is cumulative, 2.8-3.1 GPA in 8th and 9th grade went up to 3.8-4.0 10th grade and 3.75 11th. My counselor is addressing the trend in his rec (mental health and adhd that I motivated myself to deal w/) and I think I will also address it in the additional info section. For context, I also entered one of the most rigorous public IB diploma programs in the country in junior year. I’m EDing because Barnard is 100% my first choice but I also dont want to be compared to my ridiculously overqualified peers in the RD round.
For even more context, my 2 IB scores are excellent and my 5 AP scores are dismal (three 3s two 4s, dont know how I prepared so poorly). I have a 2190 superscored sat (I forgot my individual scores oops) and pretty good ECs- I didnt found a nonprofit or startup but l do have some solid internships and lobbying experience + leadership in a couple school clubs.
I am really passionate about barnard and its values and I do love learning now which I really hope comes across in my application. I am just nervous that problems I dealt with 3-4 years ago and overcame will affect me now just because of the number “3.4”.

Also, if you look at section C, you’ll see stats of attending freshmen students. Your cumulative GPA should not include 8th grade, by the way. Good luck
I’m glad your parents let you apply ED to Barnard. Good luck.
@happy1 Thanks, it was a struggle to convince them but I really hope it pays off!!
