Does applying ED dramatically increase chances for acceptance to vsb. ACT-32 so it’s in range but not sure if taking the risk to have to pay 70k a year is worth it.
I’m not sure anyone will know the precise increase in chances by applying ED at Villanova. But, you should be able to get an estimated financial aid package by running the Net Price Calculator linked the school’s website, with the help of a parent to make sure numbers entered are accurate. https://npc.collegeboard.org/student/app/villanova. Unless the family financial situation is one that can make the NPC inaccurate (such as owning a business, or divorce; in which case I’d call the financial aid office), there is no reason to remain in the dark on possible financial aid.
The only thing I have going for me is I have will have a sibling attending college at the same times as me but most likely not nova. I don’t think I will be entitled to any aid other than scholarships
@NextWarrenn Don’t guess. FIND OUT with the Net Price Calculator. And then continue the financial discussion with your parents about what they can contribute annually for your college costs. If they cannot and/or will not pay the net price, you need to look at less expensive colleges, such as your state flagship and schools that provide merit scholarships. See the scholarship discussions in the financial aid forum.
