ED but not going

<p>I understand your sympathies, noslom2, but carolyn is correct. Although dreamer is a first generation immigrant child, she is apparently literate, since she got admitted to Penn. It appears from the first page of this thread that she was fully informed of the ramifications of ED last summer, long before she made the decision to apply. She chose to either ignore what she read, or to assume that the many posters who advised her of the economic pitfalls were incorrect. Like many others, I am not a fan of ED since it is lopsided in helping only the universities and the well-to-do. But it is what it is. If you choose to try to play the game, you knew the rules.</p>

<p>Carolyn may sound harsh but she is completely accurate. Based on the facts presented, the OP is trying to game the system. I don't have much sympathy.</p>

<p>And I agree with Hayden that ED benefits the universities and the wealthy applicants more than anyone else.</p>
