ED Chance for SCS at CMU

Class rank: 20/379
GPA (UW/W): 3.8958/4.4010
SAT: 2100 R/W/M: 620/700/780
SAT II: Math II (800), Chem (760)
ACT: 33 E/R/M/S: 32/28/36/35
AP: Comp. Sci (5), BC Calc (5), US Gov (5), Macro (4), Lang (4), Chem (3) [probably won’t include chem on common app]

Senior Year Schedule:

AP Physics C (planning to self-study and take E&M exam as well), AP Micro, AP Spanish, AP Statistics, Multivariable Calculus (AP Weighted), Dual Enrollment Comp 101&102, and Dual Enrollment World History

I want to apply for the School of Comp Sci at Carnegie Mellon, and then in my sophomore year, apply for the Computational Finance program. Do I have a good chance for either of those, or is there another school within CMU that I’d have a better chance ED’ing or RD’ing for?

Bump

I would submit your ACT. Your SAT is good but not good enough for SCS. With the ACT and your high GPA i would say you stand a decent chance. Very hard to get into, and the most competitive at CMU so it is still gonna be tough. Good luck!
