Volunteer Work (I don’t remember it being asked on the application)

• 200 hrs freshman year helping out with our neighbor who was disabled.
• 50 hours in bits and pieces

Jobs:
• Research Assistant at the local University

Things that make me stand out:
• AWESOME recommendations,, AP chem. And chem. Teacher loved me, I resurrected the math club, so my calculus teacher loves me, my counselor saw me progress as I transferred from New Zealand and heavily favors me
• I have a unique essay about unique experience (won’t share it :P)
• Unique back ground. A Chinaman moving to NZ @ 6 years old, then had 75% of high school in Alaska?!
• Emphasis on Skiing. Began without knowing how to ski, not almost a captain.
• The regional admissions officer “knows”, we’ve met a couple of times and he still remembers me, one thing he pointed out to my counselor
• Classmates “hate me” because I do so well… :P Except they all come to me for help so I guess hate is relative.

bump :) Any feedback?
