Tell me more about your fencing. Do you fence NACs and are you Nationally ranked? Which weapon? I have some knowledge of Brown fencing.

@Epeemom what rating would one need to achieve to be a viable recruit at Brown?

For this year’s recruiting season I think it matters more which weapon you fence. My understanding is that the team needs foil and saber fencers. The rating would depend on where you are in relation to the other fencers being considered. I think the coach only gets 2 recruits each year. My guy won’t be a recruit this year, but if accepted would likely make the team.

Thanks @Epeemom‌. I don’t want to further hijack the thread, so I’ll send you a PM.

@gaver456‌ you look like a very interesting person. Best of luck with your application!

thanks for letting me know! 31 both raw- so it’s not that far off the range!
also, I am a “filler” on my team. As in, I fence any weapon they need. I trained in Epee but my favorite is sabre. I am not a fan of foil, but go figure, that is my best. Quite a few kids from my school are nationally ranked and got into great schools for fencing. I would like to do it college but I am not good enough to be recruited :frowning:

Wow that’s unusual for sabres to be lacking! Definitely my favorite!

u r insane

luv ya mal pal <3 but sadly nah :stuck_out_tongue:
