Hey everyone, new to the board and really stressed out about getting into Lehigh. It's my number 1 choice and I absolutely love it. Can you give me a heads up on my chances. I applied early decision 1.
GPA: 3.3-3.4 (school does not weight GPA)
SAT I: 1200 (540V, 660M)
Have taken 8 Honors and 1 AP course by end of senior year
All classes that don't offer Honors have been Higher Learning
Major: Biology
Had an interview and went for a tour and info. session
2 teacher recs., GC rec. and a rec from my priest
Very Good Essay
Grades have been mostly B's, several A's and 3 C's
EC's:
Varsity Wrestler (11,12)
Ski Club (11,12)
Guitar Teacher (5 years)
Church Youth Group President (9-12)
About 50-60 Hours Comm. Service
Time is mostly devoted to wrestling, another main reason I chose Lehigh. It has an excellent wrestling program.

Oh yeah...I'm also a first-generation college student and half arabic (and no, I'm not muslim or a terrorist)...don't know if it helps any

I went to Lehigh for undergrad long ago. It's a great school with a gorgeous campus, underrated esp on this CC board.
Wrestling is back top 10 nationally I think, I assume you're not a wrestling recruit which would of course be an entirely different story.

I received something just this week from LU, a solicitation for $ of course, and I'm pretty sure it said 25-75 SAT for new class was 1290-1410, which surprised me.
I have a nephew last year was top 10% many APs mid-1200s. He was rejected but he applied RD.
I'd say it's a slight reach for you but applying ED should really help. So should first generation college. Good luck.

Thanks a lot! Yeah, I got the profile for the Class of 2008 and the 25%-75% range was 1220-1460, that's what the website said anyway. Anyone else with opinions??!!

bump, bump

bumpety bump

Metal...I think you have a fair chance at best. I hope you are looking around at some less selective schools as a fall back. It sounds like you have your heart set, though, so I'm pulling for you. Lehigh is a great school, and I agree with the other poster that it is underated on these boards!

Yeah, I also applied to Penn State UP and Drexel. Lehigh is my first choice above all though.

Can anyone else help me??!!

.....?????

Anyone?? Please!?? Need some honest opinions

......??????????

bumb anyone please!

sorry but i think you'll have a hard time getting in.

i got an acceptance letter from PSU yesterday so at least i have that to fall back on

Congrats on PSU and I wish you the best with Lehigh as I think you'll need it. Your scores and GPA are significantly below average but that doesn't mean you're definitely rejected. Were you recruited for wrestling? That could help you.... A friend of mine has low 1200 scores/easy course load/decent GPA and has been told by admissions individuals that he's in at UPenn because of his sport which he has been recruited for... I'm not convinced but whatever.

Good luck and I am applying too but like you, am statistically below average. I have a 28 ACT, 3.94 u/w, 4.7 weighted, 7 APs, 20 CC credits, lots of ECs, etc. I'm applying RD for engineering and am a female.

Good luck!!

Nah, I wasn't recruited for wrestling. I think the fact that I showed lots of interest and the fact that I applied early is what'll get me in. That and prolly my recs and essay. Anyway, I did all I can do. I applied and now I just have to sit back and wait...

anyone else please??????????

anyone else have any advice please?????

bump bump...
