Raises hand

pls guys chance me please!

your stats are great! good luck!

well since you chanced me, I shall chance back. I think you stand a pretty excellent chance, but then again, Huntsman is still quite impossible for everyone. Nonetheless, if you can’t have a decent shot, I would love to see who could.

BUMP!! comeon please guys i have to decide ASAP and i need your help!!

Dude, why does what any of us say determine whether or not you’ll apply? If you want to go somewhere, is what one or five random people say on some website really enough to deter you? Because if that’s true, you either have super low self-confidence or you’re not as smart as your stats would indicate. RELAX.

All your stats are great, the only part that stands out as slightly concerning is the score on your English IGCSE, but then again, that probably plays a miniscule role in the admissions decision. The verbal and writing sections of the SAT are also a bit low for Huntsman, but when it comes down to it, they’re still great scores, and they in no way put you out of contention for the program; plus, I assume English is your second language. The rest of the scores are stellar and within the range for Huntsman, and I’m guessing if you’re in the top 5% of your school your GPA is solid too. You don’t need to take APs to know your GPA btw, it’s just based on grades. Your extracurriculars are good, nothing super huge but some pretty significant activities. Do you have any awards on top of that to include? Also, are you planning on playing squash at Penn/have you been recruited?

One question, are you making Hindi your target language? If not, make sure to take the corresponding SAT II for your application.

So basically, I’d say you have as good a chance as anyone of getting in, but it’s Huntsman; the odds are against everyone. I won’t do percentage, but overall you look like a really strong candidate. And once again, chill with the franticness, what we say has no effect on what the adcom says, and it shouldn’t have any affect on your personal college decisions either.

thanks alot joe. yes i get it i guess im just a lil to frantic. Yes i do have quite a few subject awards and awards for academic excellence. i also have been awarded by the government civic body of my city for my social service towards my city and have MANY model UN awards. What do you think about wharton chances? good?

Excellent, awards are always good. I don’t want to get your hopes up or anything, and I’m obviously in no way connected with the actually UPenn admissions people, but I’d say your chances for Wharton are probably very high. So basically, just send that application in and wait (and relax!) and you’ll know soon!

thanks ALOT joe! Anyone else?

never heard of huntsman…where is it?

Huntsman: extremely competitive dual degree program at Wharton. It consists of a degree in business and international relations and requires proficiency in a target language when you apply to Penn.

last chance.!! bump PLEASE PLEASE GUYS!!!

i think you have a very good shot at wharton and a pretty decent chance for the huntsman program. good EC’s, grades, and test scores. very well balanced.

ANYONE ELSE? Please remember that my freshman grades were PATHETIC!

Bumpity bump
bumpity bump

Uhm… I don’t know what to say…
NO, you will not get in. Do not apply.

jk… but really these chance forums will not change anything except for your own personal confidence
you will definitely have an amazing app, but remember that so will thousands of other applicants.

When you’re applying to any top 20 school, I’d think that you’d need the grades/scores/recs/essay as well as a bit of luck.

Anyways, I’m applying to UPenn as well, so good luck!!

Dear Akkipenn,

It aint lookin good.

xoxo,
J
