let me know if you think my counselor was right. Thanks!

I think your chances of getting in ED are pretty good, counselors don't know anything for sure. Your GPA is GREAT and your SAT score is not bad either. You have a lot going for you. I think you have a good shot at ED. Are you a boy or girl? If you look at the stats makes a difference. Boys accepted at a higher rate. I also applied ED, little higher SAT but lower GPA. I'm dying until that letter comes. Lets stay in touch. I'm from NJ, how about you?

I applied regular decision to William and Mary with 1320 SAT and everything else pretty much the same, what do you think of my chances.. is it the same or worse because of RD? thanks

Johnst I applied to WM with a 1320 too. Pretty much the same everything else. I applied ED, I think acceptance rate is a little better. Also, I'm a girl which works against me as many more girls apply. I really love the school, I'm trying not to get too anxious, and not expect too much. Best of luck to us all. I see you also applied to Villanova, me too. I should get in there. Where else did you apply?

I'm also a girl from out-of-state. I'm from Maryland. I can't wait for the letter either, but I'm trying not to think too much about it cuz i don't want to be too upset when I get defered. good luck with ED! we'll have to let each other know if we get in :).

drivethrunerdie-
It's so hard to wait. I'm almost sure I'll get deferred too, but a little bit of me is still hopeful. I don't know how I'l react when the letter comes. I did read on one of the posts that the acceptance letter is a fat envelop. Also, a few people mentioned receiving cards from WM admission officers saying they enjoyed reading their essay. Did you get anything from admssions? I didn't get anything, not even a card saying they received my app. I had to call them to find out if they did.

I think I got an email saying my application was recieved. I have read that post about the cards too, but no I didn't get one. It sounded like that was more of an RD thing.

OK, website does say financial aid forms and admission letters go out November 22. Please post as soon as get the word. LUCK to us all! This is scarry.

my fingers are purple from the intense crossing I have been putting them through. i am flipping out. ugh i've waited this long i guess i can wait out a few more days. i wish they'd email notifications though! what about calling to find out your decision, would that look too desperate? sorry i'm a nervous wreck

yeah I wish they did email notification too! lol, that would be funny if you called....I wonder if they actually get people doing that. OMG! my mom walked upstairs to my room this afternoon with a "big" envelope....I thought it was from WM, but :( it wasn't, it was a my AP Scholar award thing. I thought I was going to have a heart attack, but then she said it something about AP exams.....grr, if only it was from WM.

I applied to W&M early too - out-of-state (MD), female... and I'm über-scared just like all of you! my stats are about the same, 3.7ish, but opposite SATs, strong verbal (730) weaker math (660). I only took two APs my juniors year, ap english language and ap us history, but I got 5s on both... taking 6 this year. I really really hope I get in. my older brother goes there and I love it so much. best of luck to all of you... hopefully we will find out soon, maybe even in the next few days if the letters were sent today! I know I don't qualify for financial aid though, so I hope they sent all of the letters today and not just the financial aid ones. oh well - we'll all know soon enough :

I applied W&M, ED too. Out of state-girl. SAT 1320, 3.9GPA not weighted, varisty sports, NHS, etc....I also don't qualify for financial aid. I wonder if all the letters get mailed out today. I'm really scared!

I'm pretty sure that everyone would get a financial aid form with letter either way...maybe I'm wrong though. I'm like 99.9% sure that I won't get financial aid too, but I know my parents are gonna fill out the form just incase. good luck everyone! :)

undecided358- where do you live in MD? (i'm from maryland too....germantown, which is in montgomery county)

ahhh nothing today. I'm thinking tomorrow, friday, and saturday will be the big days. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek I'm so scared!!! seriously I need to know. ahhh at least I know all of you feel exactly the same way - as well as like the 2387513870348603846893476138476 other seniors who've applied early. W&M's notification dates are really early in comparison... but it's still really hard. I didn't realize that about financial aid so I guess it puts us all in the same boat :\ eep! best of luck

btw drivethru I'm from northern baltimore county. do you know of many people who applied early to W&M from MD? I haven't run into anyone else at my school/neighboring schools

undecided358- I actually don't know of anyone at my school that is applying ED to WM from my school. And I don't think that anyone from my school ended up going to WM last year either. and as far as friends from other schools, I only know of one person so far who is apply to WM, but she's applying RD. However, there are a lot of competitive schools in Montgomery County, and I would assume that WM is a common choice for RD at least, if not ED.

Nothing today in NJ, maybe tomorrow is the day. I know UVA has admission info posted online tomorrow. Maybe Va. schools follow a similar schedule.

nothin in VA today. i thought that since i live really close i might get it early. going out of town until saturday so i am absolutely dying to find out but i am being dragged to family and i just want to stay home and wait for the mail to come. i hope everyone gets good news soon!!
