Race:White
State: Washington
School: Public and not that good although we have the IB program. Around here a 34 ACT is unheard of, I don't know of anyone else in my class getting over 32/2100

Essay: Great
Reccs: Good

I would say my weakness would be my paucity of EC's, however I don't regret how I spent my time. I did what I enjoyed doing and was very involved in my sports. Note that I do not pad my EC's with crap like NHS and SNHS because I consider that just sad.

If possible please give me an answer in terms of match/reach, yes/no, or percent chance (and why). Thanks.

Pretty decent chance if you ask me. Very good stats. As you said, could work on your EC’s…maybe focus on one or two and be very detailed about those.

^ Thanks. I’m trying to emphasize the massive time commitments of Tennis and XC on my Common App. With that as well as a Full IB courseload I’m hoping that Duke understands that not much time is left over for the high school experience unless you’re willing to make that time.

Hey there, fellow ED-er here - I think your grades/scores are up-to-par and I assume Duke isn’t popular in Washington so that might help. I don’t think you have a paucity of EC’s though - the fact that you have a strong interest in sports and getting varsity letters is enough to cover EC’s…good luck man, hope to see you in class of 2015!

High match

Yes 2340 does help cuz the adcoms give a score of 1-5 for each part of an application so a 2340 would prolly merit a 5.
Percentage is low - everyone’s is low
