Great Recs- one from chem teacher, one from english teacher
like my brother said, cousin was an english professor for a while

E.C.'s
lots of Boy Scout involvement (volunteered at summer camp for two summers), Eagle Scout, Cosmos at UCSD, Club presidents and lots of community service, vice president of math tutor center, science bowl, peer counseling, tutor, job for a year and now a different one, trombone player, Swimming through community center, various others that i dont really remember...

you have quite a good chance, your grades are good, sat2 chem should be improved if you mention that you are considering biochem. Nothing is hard hitting about your ECs, the community service is good, as is the boy scout involvement, overall you seem like a very well rounded candidate. you're qualified enough, now you need to compel them to accept you.

^^ sorry missed the ED part, for ED you have a very good chance.
