bump......

I would say get that act to like a 32 and youll get into cornell especially on early decision, but man its cold over there are you sure that is where you want to go?

haha,yah-im really actually looking forward to that aspect...anyone else?

bumpin this up

If your ACT composite score improves 3 to 4 points between now and the time you send in your application, Cornell should become a reasonable reach.

The biggest obstacle in your path is that your ECs seem like the proverbial "laundry list." They don't tell us much about you as a person. What are your interests, passions? Why do you want to study industrial and labor relations?

Highlight your activities in such a way that shows you are a leader and can communicate effectively with people of all kinds of backgrounds. Since you are heavily involved in sports, emphasize that athletics has helped you develop strong interpersonal skills. Show Cornell that you can be an asset in a vast and globalized workplace.

Good luck.

-i thought it was pretty clear, but running is my main interest/passion...and i wrote my mainessay all about it, so hopefully thatll be good

what about the other schools?

anyone else?

last bump..

i lied-this is the last one

The grades seem pretty good, but the ACT def. needs some work. Most ppl in the northeast also take the SAT and only very rarely submit ACT so you would stand out a bit there (not sure gd or bad)

thanks for the reply, anyone else?

bumpitybump

I've got stats similar to yours, with a little more EC's and a bit higher GPA. And yes I'm looking to improve my ACT score as well. I've been told reject basically to all my colleges so yea... I think you should get accepted into the majority of your schools. I think sometimes on here the "reviewers" can be a bit too harsh, but if your score even gets to a 30-31 I think ED at Cornell could be a good possibility. Where do you live?

south florida...

any responses are helpful...
