ALSO, what's the usual word count for the second essay (majors essay)

75th percentile math, well above 75th percentile on both English sections. Real solid SATs, SAT subject tests, GPA, and class rank. And, as you got a 12 on the essay, (which is VERY impressive; I know some amazing writers who got 9s, 10s, and 11s), I'm assuming your essays will be terrific. Regardless of your race/gender, I'd say you should get in. If you're a URM you're DEFINITELY in.

Yea your GPA and SAT's look great, but yea- definitely lacking on the ECs. If your essay is really strong (which I agree about the 12^) I think you do stand a good chance, bc I know they do value the essay and gpa/transcript above everything else! =)

You should get in, but because your an international student, I don't know what to say (Johns admitted only ~ 200 international students). (Wait, are you international or is Philippines just your ethnic background?)

Also, what do you plan to major in? Your ECs doesn't show your academic interests (except a little math). Are there any widely recognized competitions that you have been apart of (like an olympiad?)

you should get in so long as your essay isn't too bad. However, Hopkins is still not always predictable so you never know. They've turned down just as many people with stats like yours.
