ED? Chances?

Hey yall,
I'm debating between going EA to Georgetown or ED to UVA, so I'm posting on both boards. Both are my top choices and they're both reaches, grr! Please tell me what you think my chances are! How much will ED help me at UVA?
Very competitive prep school in NC (ranked like 10th in the country by Wall Street Journal...)
3.75 UW (school does not rank)
Right now: 730 V, 650 M, 680 W
National Merit Commended Scholar
750 SAT II US History
740 SAT II Lit
590 SAT II Latin (ugh I know)
5 in AP US
4 in AP Latin
Very challenging coarseload..will graduate with 6 APs.
ECs: intern with John Kerry campaign, first intern for NC Attorney General, many hours of political volunteering, competitive horseback riding since I was 7, President of Red Cross Club, and Editor on school paper for 3 years
Very good recs and essays...
One advantage at UVA: my family's good friend is the Louis and Clark professor (a very prestigious position there) and he is writing me a letter, dunno how much this will help

What do yall think? Thanks so much!!

3.75 is kinda of low, a quarter of the entering class has a 4.0 unweighted, with the average GPA being a 4.1, oh yeah and for your own good, UVA hates name-dropping, so unless the prof. knows you well and knows your work habits/ethics, UVA will totally disregard this letter...btw, I volunteer for the Admissions Office so I'm not pulling this information out of my a*s. You seem interested in UNC, why UVA?

I adore UNC, but I've lived in the area all my life...almost everyone from my school goes there...all my family has gone there...so I kind of want to try something different. I'm def. applying though. Actually, one thing I love about UVA is it seems to have the same sort of atmosphere as UNC-a work hard/play hard mentality, laid back, beautiful campus, great academics...

Anyone else? Please help! I have to decide between going early to UVA or Georgetown by next week...
