hey good luck to everyone, i can’t believe its been a whole year since i was on this forum, nearly as antsy as everyone here is

Thanks man

I am an avid internet forum poster (on topics other than college though!) and I have resolved to not even VISIT my favorite forum until the decisions come out. I started this early last week. I’m not even lurking. It is therapeutic, quite calming, to unplug like that.

upenn is tomorrow i believe

am i the only one who periodically checks [Welcome to Cornell University](http://www.cornell.edu) just to see if they uploaded early?

I dont think they will upload anything early

probably not, but it hasn’t stopped me from checking every three seconds!

You’d be surprised. Last week Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine accidentally changed accepted applicants’ status pages to reflect their acceptance. It was changed back a few hours later and Northwestern pretended it was no big deal. But there you go. The moral of the story is that you guys should be checking your status pages every 2 hours from now on.

Interesting, I doubt that will be the case with Cornell though, but who knows, the might..

Which is why you guys have to keep checking. Maybe you guys can coordinate a system where one of you checks the status page every half hour for the next week.

ok, so if anyone sees a decision posted early, let the forum know…heh

lol the upenn ed-ers must be freaking out by now..
less than two hours left for them!

oh and i have a question..

Does cornell reject any ED-ers (after they have been accepted) if they have poor mid-year/final year grades?

i know that columbia does.. but does cornell do that also?

yale EA is today too

Financial aid called looking for additional stuff in case I am admitted that they need. I want to read into it and think it is a good sign as I would hope they would know who is accepted at this point, but I’m not sure. What do you think?

Hmm…my parent prior year federal tax forms is still showing up as missing on my account and they haven’t bothered contacting me yet. I even sent them an email over a week ago but still, no response.

Looks like I might be getting screwed come Wednesday…

question, if you are accepted ED, they dont give you your financial aid package in DECEMBER, do they?

If I remember correctly, they give you some sort of estimate based on the financial aid forms that you’ve already submitted, but don’t quote me on that.

omg only 2 ppl in my school got into upenn out of like 30. i thought i was looking at deferral from cornell before, but now im waiting for a straight out rejection.

The acceptance rate for UPenn is much lower than Cornell, crusty. Furthermore, if there is a high number of people applying to one high powered university, there is a greater chance that a lesser number of them will be accepted. Don’t be discouraged.

really? i thought the acceptance rate for upenn was 30% and cornell was like 36%?

but thanks =)
