ED Class of 2019

@Squashie Yup, and cross country!

@twoboys2 I think it’s by the 15th, but since that’s a Monday I’m guessing that Amherst will probably send out letters/emails this week

Anyway, for those applying for aid, does the CSS Profile (or whatever you sent) come up in the account interface where the other documents are mentioned as received (or else)?

It didn’t for me, I don’t think it’s supposed to. You can check on collegeboard to see if you sent it. Go to How to Complete the CSS Profile® – BigFuture | College Board and sign in. Then click on “Check Status of Application” and it’ll show you if Amherst received it.

@Squashie I just logged into my ACData to check. For me, CSS isn’t there even though I’ve submitted it.
That’s a question I had, btw. Did anyone from the finaid office email you for additional information such as sending them the tax forms that can’t be uploaded to CSS itself?

Since we’re applying ED, we basically need to send the school our “2013 tax returns (signed, all schedules, attachments and W-2 or 1099 forms) to the Amherst College Office of Financial Aid directly: by e-mail to finaid@amherst.edu; by fax to 413 542 2628; or by standard mail to PO Box 5000, Amherst, MA 01002 USA,” then complete the IDOC whenever it’s available (early next year).
This link explains everything: <a href=“Applying for Financial Aid | First-Year & Transfer Students | Amherst College”>Applying for Financial Aid | First-Year & Transfer Students | Amherst College;

I scanned mine and sent it through email. I’m not entirely sure if they absolutely need this immediately, but online they have a due date of November 15. I sent mine a week ago and the guy said it was fine, I don’t think they even started evaluating financial aid yet.

Same, I scanned my tax documents and sent them by email to finaid

@Someone007 If you didn’t send them yet, email mpellison@amherst.edu and tell him you didn’t know how to send them. It was really obscure in the description so I feel like a lot of people were confused.

breathes in deeply and tries not to panic
Fail.
I swear I just had a mini heart attack. I’m just a klutz, I should have read that more carefully but I seriously expected them to email. I hope they accept the documents nearly three weeks after the due date (eeeek?) because financial aid is super important to me. D:

@Waterboy11 Thank you!

I think aid packages can even be finalised later on, but I’m not sure. Best submit it asap

You can check your aid status here:
https://fadata.amherst.edu/NetPartner/NetPartnerStudent</a>
Use your ACData ID details. Interestingly, tax returns are showing up as not received because I submitted them directly instead of IDOC.

Decisions releasing late on the 12th!

What time do you guys think late will be on the 12th?

4:00 pm est, maybe later. So nervous.

^Just a guess

Middle of the night here.

Do you guys know of any other college confidential pages or facebook groups for Amherst ED Class of 2019? SO NERVOUS! Just trying to fill up my time somehow… good luck to ya’ll!

You could start one haha, I don’t know of any other. But I can guarantee you there are plenty of people freaking out right now. I’m one of them.

On the ACData Office of Financial Aid page, do all of the financial documents show up as “not received” for anyone else?

@runrun1‌ yep, all of the financial documents show up as unreceived except for the CSS profile

for me at least ^^
