ED class of 2020

@ellen2020 I applied ED for art too! Do you have an online portfolio?

@apzarov wow that is insightful…hope you’re right.

@Zorbinger me too fingers crossed #:-S

Lol I don’t need to check pathway to know when decisions are up, I’ll just check here

I’m pretty sure they will email you…I think at least…

@apzarov I’m hoping that it’s the 9th as well, but by that logic wouldn’t it be more appropriate to say that it’ll be the 11th? On their calendar it says reading and finals periods are from Dec. 7-16. If we number each day of that period, we would get the 11th as the halfway marker. These are just my thoughts though lol.

@ForwardAlways http://bulletin.wustl.edu/about/calendar/ here it says that the reading period ends the 9th

@iceskating1124 I didn’t see that! Thanks! Hopefully it is the 9th! Unless I got rejected in which case I hope it never comes LOL…

oh wow i never knew about this whole concept of “Reading days”. never heard of that before. but that is actually a really smart thing for the university to implement.

Wait what are they? They haven’t been reading them the whole time ?

Im an athletic recruit who got an extremely positive early read. Does anyone know if athletes find out earlier since the coaches already know the result now? Thanks  I’m not sure how much being a recruit helps in admissions for me

@anxiousgirl24 “A reading day is a day set aside by a college, university or other school for study for final exams.”

Oh I’m dumb. But why would this affect when decisions are released? Sorry if I sound dumb, I didn’t really know colleges did that

@anxiousgirl24 I’m not entirely positive it does have a direct effect on the decision release, but for the past (idk how many) years, it’s been released between reading days and finals. It just so happens that this year, the 9th is the time between reading days and finals.

Debating on whether or not I should set a countdown. Oh gosh I’m so anxious… :-S

Anybody else have application deadlines this week and really hoping that the WashU decisions come out first?

@jovanuhh123 what sport do u play? also, u should just contact the coaches if u know them. i think being a recruit is a big deal and u will probably get accepted but this doesn’t mean u will be sent a decision any sooner tbh.

yeah im not expecting to hear sooner. some of my friends who have been recruited to other school have already heard back from the coaches so i guess it varies by school.

@hellokitty679 I used the add. section as well. But I wrote an essay about my background story which includes being a first gen student, because I had another topic for my main essay. So, I used this opportunity to explain how this and other “events” have shaped me.

Guys I’m so nervous. I hope my extracurriculars, interview, and displayed interest overshadow my not-so-great ACT…good luck to everyone! Just a few more days!!
