ED countdown...

Now that some of us are counting down the days until the ED 1 decision's arrive in the mail, I was wondering if anyone has noticed any changes on their OPUS account? Last year CC'ers (look up old posts) reported changes in the active links on their OPUS account page a few days to a week before the decisions came out. There seemed to be some correlation between the acceptances and the new links being activated (IMO). Anyone have anything interesting to report?

I think last year if you were accepted, you had an Emory email address assigned to you - current Emory students were able to send emails to ED acceptees several days (but not longer than that) before the letter arrived in the mail.

Seiclan, what school do you attend? I an ED student from South Florida as well.

I check my OPUS account, but no changes like those described by last year's admits. :-(

Any ideas as to what these changes are more specifically?

DD goes to North Broward Prep.

Changes on Opus are detailed in old Emory posts..

I wonder when we will acutally receive the decision letter? Some say last year's letters did not arrive till' December 20-23. :-(

dell123, what school do you go to?

We should put together a stats list with people who have applied ED...

jkh411, we definietly should...

seiclan, i attend dr. michael krop senior high

Ill start with my basic stats:

Applying Ed1. Some1 told me today that they heard that a friend right aroudn acceptance time was checking the OPUS thing and when he went to class registration is said like welcome you can begin registering for classes so you can determine that way also. But do we receive the official reject or accept letter on the 15th or are the letters mailed on the 15th?

Depends on where you live. Last year, Georgians received their letters on Dec. 18th...everyone else heard on the 20th or 21st.

but do we get an email on the 15th regardless?

No,nothing on the 15th.

I hope we get it in the mail ON or BY the 15th.

agreed dude... sooner we hear the better

ill start hanging out by the mail box on like the 10th ;-)

i'm banking on opus giving me some sign be4 the 15th...

you don't think they figured out what happened last year and like they wont do it this year?

Do we use OPUS all 4 years at EMORY? I dont see like that much you can do on it...

My son is Emory class of 2007. He was an ED applicatn in the fall of 2002; that year, Emory mailed the ED decisions ON the 15th and we areceived them a few days later. There was no on-line notification ( I don't know if there is now) and the admissions office would not respond to calls; my poor son was the last to receive a decision out of all of his friends who had applied to various schools ED or EA.
