<p>the words i should have used were “not supposed to.” after all, i do know several people who found out their acceptance to the ivies in october, but then again, they were athletes admitted extremely early to other top schools.</p>
<p>just curious, how long ago did your guidance counselor say this was, and under what circumstances?</p>
<p>she said for a long time cornell’s made an effort to get their decisions out early, which could be why it says dec 11 as cornell’s release date on collegeboard.com in order to let the ed kids know as soon as possible. i am not speaking about athletes either. i would guess that she’s pretty knowledgeable considering the large number of ed applicants at my school.</p>

<p>ok, i know everyone wants to hear that cornell ed is on the 14th, the 5th, or whatever, but as of this morning it says the 19th ON THE WEBSITE. i dont think it gets any clearer than that. sorry folks</p>
