for those that got in ed, how do you know if they recieved your down payment/spot reserval thingie. i sent it in 2 weeks ago, but christmas time (haha, not pc, but screw you) is sorta hectic… and it might have been lost or destroyed (the horror). so does anyone know a good way to check (thought about calling but it is winter break and all and all)? would they tell you online?

I had the same question because I hear they haven't cashed the check yet. My dad wants me to call this week. When does admissions get back from break?

When I sent the check through the mail, I also paid an extra fee for a return receipt to reassure me that they received it. When I got the receipt back through the mail, I knew they received it.

dont stress...if they dont get it by the time its due...theyll let you know..theyre not gonna deny you...the reply card is the same for ed and rd i think...so that card is mainly for rd applicants...since ed applicants have a binding decision so really your place is already held..theyll just call to remind you to send it in as soon as possible...soo no need to call them or stress out about it.

Same here, the check I wrote hasnt been processed yet. I will call at the end of this week if its still not processed.

i just sent mine two days ago haha...and i need to remember to withdraw my last applictaion tomorrow

bump.

Check still hasnt been processed...anyone else experiencing this?

Just got a confirmation postcard that says my reply and deposit was received.

i got mine also

Has anyone from ED NOT received their postcard yet? I still havent and I will have to call if its not here by monday.

just chill, i havent got mine either...expect it by next friday at the latest

i haven't received mine yet. If you're an international student, be prepared to wait a long time. Like what SexYetiBeast said, "chill"!

did u have to pay for a confirmation or do they sent it to everyone ED?

cuz i didnt get mine yet either

I had the same issue. Apparently, international students have to wait 2-3 weeks to receive a response about cheques, by mail only.

On another note, I was wondering whether anyone knows the situation on senior finals? eg. We have to send grades by Feb 15th and then if we want credit we forward our end of the year results to the advanced placement office. But... is it obligatory to forward end of year results?

Perhaps a better way of phrasing this - is the ED offer implicitly conditional?

is the ED offer implicitly conditional?

It's actually explicit. Says it right on your acceptance letter.

not international here, live in the midwest. i'll just keep waitin for it and call next week if still not received.

AJ42288 - They send it to everyone.

yea i just got mine today...if you dont get it dont feel too bad, its a really small postcard (same size as the first one they sent to us, telling us to take our tests and send transcripts etc.) and it could have just got lost in the mail.

I called like the day they got back to work, Jan. 3, and the lady I talked to said that they received mine. I didn't know they send out a postcard.

Ed is explicitly conditional

please define what this really really means...
